What is mother and baby Italian?
Mother and Baby Italian offers a unique language class for parents to learn Italian while bonding with their babies. Tailored for families, these fun, relaxed sessions immerse you in Italian through stories, vocabulary, and conversation practice. Whether your baby participates or naps, it’s a great way to connect with other parents and introduce Italian culture to your child from an early age.
Why did we set the Classes up ?
We started Mother and Baby Italian because, as a new mum, Emma wanted classes that were stimulating for her and beneficial for her baby. Struggling to find activities that offered both, we combined our passion for Italy and its language to create an experience that's engaging for parents and fun for babies. We believe giving a child the gift of a second language is invaluable, and through our classes, we aim to share our love for Italian culture while helping families learn together in a relaxed, enjoyable setting.
What Makes Our Classes Unique?
Our classes are designed not only for the babies but for the parents too. We believe that learning a language should be fun, interactive, and a rewarding experience for both parent and child. It's a space where you can focus on your personal growth while engaging with your baby. Welcome to Mother and Baby Italian! As a bilingual couple, we share a passion for Italy’s rich heritage and knew we wanted to create a life filled with Italian traditions and language. Now, as proud parents to our new little boy, we are excited to raise him in a bilingual household, nurturing his connection to both Italian and English. We believe that learning a language should be a joyful experience that strengthens the bond between parents and their children. Inspired by our own journey, we want to share the beauty and joy of the Italian language with other families. Our tailored classes are designed to make Italian accessible and engaging for everyone, no matter your level.
Get to Know Us
Matteo
Born and raised in Rome, Matteo is a native Italian speaker who brings the essence of his culture into every lesson. As a new father, he is excited to share his language with his child and help other parents do the same. Matteo’s interactive teaching style focuses on practical language skills, ensuring that you feel confident speaking Italian in real-life situations.
Emma
With a background as an english language teacher in a bilingual school and experience working as a nanny in Milan, Emma has a deep understanding of child development and bilingual education. As a mother to her own future bilingual child, she is passionate about creating a nurturing and fun environment for language learning. Emma helps organise the course content from her experience of bilingual education and as an english speaker.
